Powering the Smart DAQ

The smart DAQ can be powered on three ports:

  • USB-C port with 5V 1000mA DC
  • JST SH 1.0 mm 2-pin connector with 5V 1000mA DC input
  • JST SH 1.0 mm 3-pin connector for a 4.2V LiPo Battery

Onboard LEDs

The smart DAQ has onboard 2 LEDs. One for the battery management system (BMS) and the other for the microprocessor modes of operation.

Battery Status LED

The battery status LED is ON when connected using the USB-C port and:

  • no battery is present;
  • battery is present and is fully charged;

This means the LED is OFF when the device is being powered from the USB-C port, a LiPo battery is connected, and charging (not full).

Microprocessor RGB LED

The RGB LED is a 3 in 1 kind of LED to display microprocessor modes of operation information in a visual manner:

  • The blue color LED is for connectivity-related modes of operation (WIFI/ Bluetooth/ BLE);
  • The green color LED is for indicating successful modes of operation;
  • The RED color LED is for indicating failure modes of operation or busy states mode of operation;
