Status

See the hardware specifications on the Index below, to view a specific hardware revision operational status.
Nowadays, I've been coding the firmware for the first public beta stable release.

To-do List

There's a lot of work to be done. To view the to-do list navigate the following web address.

Update History

🟡 10-2024
I'm designing the hardware revision "10-2024" for the 16-bit S.D.A.D. . On top of the hardware specifications of the previous revision, this revision features 2x independent 2.4GHz antennas and Sparkfun's QWIIC connector system. See the full hardware specifications here.

07-2024
✅ I've designed a module with built-in "Unique Fingerprint Identification" UFID using Espressif Systems ESP32-C3 microcontroller, to expedite and facilitate the design and deployment of smart hardware electronics capable of delivering validated sensor data that can be used for publishing on higher-ranked sci. journals and also for usage in cases of legal dispute. This module is only 26x19mm and it can be soldered into an existing PCB as any other component. It is available all GPIO pins the original ESP32 C3 MCU offers. For more information go to the main page.

03-2024
  Hardware revision 03-2024 now has 16-bit resolution when collecting data measurements. The "fingerprint ID" algorithm now includes the following onboard sensors:

  • DFN-8 AHT20; temperature sensor with a precision of 0.1 C;
  • DFN-8 AHT20 humidity sensor;
  • LGA-14 LSM6DS3 a 6-axis accelerometer and gyroscope;
  • TEMT6000 Luminosity Sensor;
  • SOT 23-3 reference voltage sensor;
  • BMP280 Atmospheric pressure sensor;
  • ENS120 TVOC sensor;

The sensors listed above are utilized to calculate the "Fingerprint ID" for an individual sensor value measurement during an experiment.

  • ✅ The 16-bit Smart DAQ is now fully tested and working.

10-2023
  Hardware revision 10-2023 for both 12-Bit and 16-bit resolution of data measurements now includes:

  • A Digital Metal Oxide Multi-Gas Sensor. This enables TrueVOC air quality measurements with multiple outputs e.g. CO2, TVOC and, AQIs in compliance with worldwide IAQ3. This sensor has an independent sensor heater control for highest selectivity (e.g. to ethanol, toluene, acetone, NO2) with background discrimination. Read in full the datasheet here.
  • An absolute barometric pressure sensor with a relative accuracy of ±0.12 hPa. Read in full the datasheet here

The data collected from these sensors is now part of the Unique Fingerprint Identification when hashing an experimental data record.

  • ✅ The 12-bit Smart DAQ is now fully tested and working.
