ODIN_II: Use dynamically growing buffer for MIF files

#### Expected Behaviour
currently uses a static buffer and use a check that it won't overflow.

#### Context
patched to fix coverity issue #803. but proper resolution should use a dynamic buffer

EDIT:
Should verify MIF are still supported and integrate them into the regression suite
