Sloeber moved from storing everything in CDT environment variables to maintaining everything itself in configuration files to better support version control.
The automatic upgrade from CDT environment variables to Sloeber maintained stuff has caused issues and makes the code "hard to maintain"
So in this issue I will remove the automatic upgrade and move to a manually trigged upgrade.
