Unable to deselect 'Work' menu item in portrait view

Reproduction steps:

1. In portrait view, open the test URL and log in
2. Click on the hamburger menu at the top left corner
3. Click on 'Work'
4. Try clicking on 'Work' again
5. Click on the topcoder logo in the header
6. Close the hamburger menu
7. Open the hamburger menu and observe

Expected result:
The user is able to deselect Work menu item by either clicking on it, clicking on the topcoder logo (Work item closes by clicking on the topcoder logo in landscape view), or by closing the hamburger menu

Actual result:
There is no option to deselect the 'Work' menu item in portrait view; it stays highlighted no matter what (except when other menu items are selected)
