I don't know if there's something that prevents us from migrating; but I haven't seen any problem using that so far.

It'd be good to merge scala/vscode-scala-syntax#3 first

Note that scala/vscode-scala-syntax#3 doesn't change the artifact name of the syntax plugin, so this is safe to merge independently.
