I have a general comment about the whole blog post. I'm not sure it's necessary to publish this blog post at this time. You already wrote a blog post saying you were looking into what to do. This blog post says you've decided what to do. But it isn't actually done yet. So there's going to need to be a third blog post where we say, "Okay, done, we did these things."
Is the middle post of the three actually needed? Or could we just wait and tell people once these actions have actually been taken?
I agree with your point. I don’t have a strong feeling about posting this now. In the previous blog it looks like I committed to announcing the plan so my only motivation here is to fulfill my commitment. But if it is acceptable to communicate only in a couple of months I like that better. |
I went ahead and posted the roadmap on the Contributors forum. I’ve updated the PR to remove the new article and edit the old one with a link to the roadmap. |
