Hi,
we use your fork inside our company for our git repo management and are very happy with the integration in redmine.
One feature we are missing is the support for restricted / protected branches which would assist our review-driven workflow.
Is there any chance that this feature will be implemented in the near future?
I'm currently not as experienced with ruby to implement this myself but if maybe could assist in some other ways (e.g. in conception phase).

Regards,
Philip

I think review driven workflow will require the management of personal branches too.

Users will have their own namespace under something like u/<username>/ and the gatekeeper will merge whatever users submit.

I've created a new branch for this feature https://github.com/jbox-web/redmine_git_hosting/tree/feat_protected_branches

I've also added in devel branch the possibility of choosing the repository default branch.

Here is another use case: Puppet dynamic environments with Git

Hi! I've merged the branch feat_protected_branches in devel branch.
Feel free to test it ;) See here for more informations about how to install the v0.8 branch.
