Most of the information about search was in a guide, I think we should document this as a feature.

I've merged this into #7052, so I'm going to close this so it doesn't get our of sync. Let's move the larger changes there. |

Tried to keep it short, so moved and removed some sections from the guide to the docs, let me know if there is anything I should add back.
