We will need to provide a text for clahub to present, what about the following: Copyright Statement for Contributions to the Reactive Streams ProjectI hereby represent that all present, past and future contributions I make to the Reactive Streams project (which includes all repositories owned by the “reactive-streams” github organization) are governed by the Creative Commons Zero 1.0 Universal copyright statement, placing my contributions in the public domain. This entails that to the extent possible under law I waive all copyright and related or neighboring rights to the code or documents I contribute. I also represent that I have the authority to perform the above waiver with respect to the entirety of my contributions. |

@DougLea does this work from your perspective? |
Don't take this as authoritative, but it looks good to me. |
Good enough for me :-) What do the others think? As soon as this is in place we can merge the three outstanding pull requests referenced above. |
+1 Works for me. |
Trying to add clahub fails because this repository does not seem to be recognized: @jasonm, any ideas why not? I am Owner of this organization, I even just upgraded it to a Bronze plan to see if that helps. |
* define the Copyright Statement signing process * describe the acceptance process * clarify how pull requests should look like fixes reactive-streams#28

We will need consensus on this one ASAP in order to be able to merge things, so I urge everyone to review this and either sign off on it or suggest fixes to the flaws they see. If one of the proposed gatekeepers has not responded by next Wednesday (May 21, 2014) 12:00 UTC I will remove them from the proposal. This does not mean that more parties cannot be added later (as detailed in the rules), and it sure is not meant disrespectfully in any way, we just need to be able to move things forward. I fully understand that people can be overwhelmed with other duties, in which case it will only help to be “off the hook”. Being a gatekeeper is not the only way to contribute, everyone can still fully support and endorse the project. On a side note, I am on the fence now whether the address in the copyright statement signature should not be replaced by the email address that is used for the git commits; at least we also need the email, and we might not need the physical address. |
