v0.4.6 board selection does not show any board

tried both on vscode 1.58 and 1.60.2

reverting back to v0.4.3 works, bur serial selection is not working with vscode 1.60.2

vscode 1.60.2 with arduino-vscode v0.4.5 works fine

I also found this problem. I had to choose the fallback version to solve the problem that there is no display on the development board

Same problem here, but stuff still works if you have already configured the board your after, as a temporary fix I have been specifying the value in arduino.json, for example:
"board": "esp8266:esp8266:d1_mini"
