Error Message: Missing "spiffs_start" definition

Thanks for the extension. I'm trying to upload a test file from a /data directory, but VS code keeps failing with the message:
Missing "spiffs_start" definition: target = esp8266, config = undefined.
ESP8266 SPIFFS interface finished.

I am able to upload the test file with the Arduino IDE (ver 1.8.8). Any idea what's wrong?

Hi, I am having the same issue, but I don't see in the commit anything related with spiffs_start. Anywone solved this issue already?
