If a
--pref
option is passed into the IDE as a command line arg, then it is also saved in thepreferences.txt file
with abuild_properties_custom.
prefix.For example:
arduino --pref "boardsmanager.additional.urls=http://arduino.esp8266.com/stable/package_esp8266com_index.json" --install-boards esp8266:esp8266
will add the following line:
The main purpose of the
build_properties_custom.*
properties is to pass in custom build properties to the Compiler. See Compiler.java. I think these parameters are not mean't to be persistent.
