Auto import quick fix does not care about path aliases

Using auto suggestion built into template:

When typing the component's name in the code:

I use https://github.com/tidalhq/ts-plugin-sort-import-suggestions and a workspace-level typescript node selection so it kicks in for my normal auto-import functionality. But this is super frustrating, would like a solution here

@crisbeto is this a shortcoming in angular languge service or something deeper?
