UI Bootstrap Typahead async not working in AngularJS RC2

Why is the UI Bootstrap Typahead not working in AngularJS RC2 when using the $http service to retreive matches from server? This was working in AngularJS RC1

This is because Angular UI has not yet released a version that supports RC2. The breaking change in RC2 is that ng-bind-html has been removed. See angular-ui/bootstrap#813

@petebacondarwin actually it is far more serious that ng-bind-html that was a breaking change in 1.2RC1. What we are facing here is the side-effect of this commit: 3a65822

which has to do with the automatic promise unwrapping in $parse. This breaks things pretty badly and I'm not sure the $parse is the best place for such promise-unwrapping logic. Please see my comments in the mentioned commit, this is something I would like to discuss with you guys when I'm back from my vacations.
