I'd like to be consistent, so should we do the same for heroku deployment as well? Although it could be bad if you deployed your app to heroku as well as openshift with the same name, and get a conflict with the remotes.

Edit: Actually the way the heroku deployment generator is setup, that wouldn't be easy to implement so nevermind.

Might also want to update the readme.
