angular-fullstack vs mean.io

hi i know this is not the place for this type of question i apologize for that , but then there is no other place to ask this
i am starting a new project which is MEAN stack project after searching for a while and eliminating many other options i am stuck at two
angular-fullstack and mean.io

i just want to know which one to choose, both seem to be very similar am i missing something ??
i am confused

The full stack generator has a lot of similarities to mean.io, however the mean.io is a boilerplate and this is a generator, so keep that in mind.

You'll be able to customize your project more with the fullstack generator, we have a more advanced build system, you can generate your client side angular components, e.g, a directive and a test using yo angular-fullstack:directive, and you'll be working with a familiar boilerplate if you've used generator-angular or the angular-seed project.

Because of the way they handle routing, switching between views in the mean.io app triggers an entire page reload. In a single page app, I think changing views should only load the new partial, not refresh the entire page.

That said, Mean.io does a lot right, and you can learn from their project. Either way you go, just consider it a starting point. You'll probably have to modify whatever you use to suit your needs. I would really encourage you to try both and use the one you like best!

Why isn't angular-fullstack using ui-router ??

Because angular-fullstack is based on the angular generator, which has ngRoute as an option but not ui-router. We might add support for ui-router in the future.

As I tried it today, looks like ui-router is now available as an option in angular-fullstack. Thanks for adding it!
