Inverted Text and Graphics on OLED Display

I have two AirGradientOne I-9PSL units (pre-soldered kits, purchased at the same time). After an indeterminate length of time, the text and graphics drawn to the OLED display become inverted.

This is not an inversion of the entire display; rather, each drawn character or graphical element is drawn inverted.

Each character is being drawn inverted; i.e., the pixels of the glyph are dark and the background pixels are light. In addition, dark pixels are being used to draw the lines between display regions, and can't be seen at all.

Troubleshooting Notes

• This issue may sometimes resolve itself after an indeterminate amount of time.
• A soft reset (Upload and Monitor) or a hard reset (power cycle) restores proper display drawing.
• Tried several USB cables and power adapters (including the direct connection to computer while monitoring) with no discernible change to behavior.
