How to install Eclipse Arduino plugin from your computer?

Since installing the Eclipse Arduino plugin via the Marketplace is often impossible due to non-existent file links, I'm looking for a way to install it locally. I can then choose a working version. I just haven't found such installers. Can anyone help on this topic?

Installing the product is a matter of downloading; extracting and starting.

you can opt to download the repository file in actions (from the build you want) and add that repository to your repositories and go from there (both install and upgrade should work this way)

I downloaded the file arduino-eclipse-plugin-master.zip. I unzipped it and tried to add it using Help->Install New Software. Unfortunately, it doesn't work. I get an error message:"No software site found at file: arduino-eclipse-plugin-master ". Is there a working plugin without these problems?
How do I install the downloaded plugin? Please explain the next steps.

You downloaded a zip file with the source code. You can compile it and go from there (build instructions are in the read.me) though I would not advice you to do so.
You can download the latest release from here https://eclipse.baeyens.it/ which links to the releases here at githib

or download the latest nightly from actions here at github

@darek-i-rafal-i-zbychu just unzip and launch sloeber-ide from folder inside
sometimes default perspective is not Sloeber - so you need to add it right top corner (@jantje have this on V5-linux with new workspace)

Can't you simply write what to do next with the downloaded arduino-eclipse-plugin-master.zip file to make it work in Eclipse?
Where to unpack it and what to do to make it work. Not everyone has full knowledge of how to do it.

I found the plugin repository file, but it's the latest. I'm looking for version 4.4.0.

You can probably get it from a working Eclipse. I don't know how.

Download the file you linked to
unzip it locally
Open eclipse
Got to the install new software dialog
point to the location you unzipped.

This is eclipse stuff not sloeber stuff; you should be looking in the eclipse documentation not the Sloeber documentation.

This must be a repository specifically designed for installation via the Install New Software operation containing the appropriate files inside. I checked the file you provided, but it doesn't work. Compare how the installation of the file I provided works. This link and the downloaded repository file - works, but doesn't install completely correctly in older versions of Eclipse. Newer versions of Eclipse cause a compilation error - "Permission donied" described by me earlier in another topic.

Installing the Sloeber plugin in a existing eclipse is error prone and everything changes over time.
That is why the plugin install is not supported only the product.
Given your eclipse knowledge: stick to the products and do not upgrade.
If you need other plugins you can try to install them into the Sloeber product. But the providers of these other plugins face the same problems so you may come to a incompatibility deadlock.

Maybe you can compile the arduino-eclipse-plugin version 4.4.0 or older from the source code and create a repository that can then be installed in Eclipse or Sloeber of older stable versions.
I am installing Eclipse and Sloeber on a new computer. So far I have not been able to put together a fully working set with plugins. On the old computer, older versions from 2021 work fine.
Please include arduino-eclipse-plugin repository version 4.4.0 or older in the downloads. There are newer versions available there that do not install with older versions of Eagle or Sloeber. The newer versions of these programs do not work fully correctly, so I am looking for the older one.
