You can get early alpha builds of Xabber and help us with reviews and bug reports.
First way: Join Xabber Google+ community: https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/100341615050871433040 and follow link to Google Play: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.xabber.androiddev
If you have several google accounts logged in, there may be conflicts. You can try log in for one google account in other browser, incognito mode, etc. and repeat above instruction.
This way is preferable for us, because we would get standard Google Play bug reports.
Second way: Get latest version from F-droid: https://f-droid.org/repository/browse/?fdfilter=xabber&fdid=com.xabber.androiddev
