It would be nice to have an API that can be queried for information on users, contests, problems, etc... and that is easy to use so statistics on users and contests can be made easily.

A good start would be to check whether https://community.topcoder.com/longcontest/?module=Static&d1=support&d2=dataFeed works (after replacing www.topcoder.com with community.topcoder.com:443 in the feed links)
