If you go to the "subpoject details view" (i.e https://readthedocs.org/api/v3/projects/celery/subprojects/kombu/) you won't get subproject_of and it should be there.

Raised at #6489 while adding organization's code. I'm not sure why it was raised now, since it's not related to the organizations code changes.
