The PSF does GSOC stuff for the general Python community. We should apply this year to see if we can mentor some students in the ways of docs and python. More information is here: https://wiki.python.org/moin/SummerOfCode/2014

Sounds like we need at least 3 mentors to be in the PSF org. I imagine @wraithan would be interested in doing this. @jezdez also mentioned he might be interested.

Anyone else interested in mentoring?

I emailed the PSF person in charge, haven't heard back.

I'm into it, but we should come up with some projects that might take up the full time of the student(s). Only two that come immediately to mind is better handling of i10n builds (allowing for the flag to build different languages and having a single project cover multiple languages instead of the multi project approach) and the docker build system.
