API call to create a read the docs project (on self hosted instance)

Details

• We are hosting a read the docs instance behind our firewall and it is working very well (thank you).
• For onboarding new teams, we'd like to programmatically create a new read the docs project using your API but neither of these resources describes how to do the import

We'd appreciate any suggestions on using the API to manually import a new git repo
