I keep getting build failures randomly when my documentation is built:

e.g. https://readthedocs.org/builds/protobuild/1864981/

There's no errors in the logs (other than "No setup.py, skipping install"), and the outcome is Failed (Status Code: 999).

@hach-que I seem to get similar errors in my builds, did you found out the reason behind them?

Nope, I believe it's probably one or more of their build agents not behaving properly. It doesn't appear to have anything to do with the documentation source.

@hach-que Actually, because of Travis-CI test I had requirements.txt in root of the docs repository. After removing it readthedocs started working again. So I think that's the correct solution.

I don't have requirements.txt, so I don't think it's the source of the random failures (at least for me).

@drybjed your issue was that you were using an old version of sphinx in your requirements.txt

@hach-que i'll look more on the failure you're reporting, it may have been a temporary build server issue, i'm not seeing anything obvious yet

Hi @ericholscher, we started to observe this kind of intermittent failures.

recent fail: https://readthedocs.org/builds/mongooseim/3256523/

I believe this is a Django 1.8 upgrade issue, I have deployed something
that might fix it, and am monitoring the servers now.
