I would like to see annotations to a boxplot such as this.

I guess that would be nice, but this won't be a high priority in the short term.

In the meantime you can use annotations to get the desired result.

Thanks, I understand.

I have seen box annotation with Plotly.plot().then((gd) => {gd.calcdata....Plotly.relayout()});. Is there a way to obtain or calculate values equivalent to box plot calcdata before plot()? I really would like to draw box and annotation in first Plotly.plot() call.

Hi - this issue has been sitting for a while, so as part of our effort to tidy up our public repositories I'm going to close it. If it's still a concern, we'd be grateful if you could open a new issue (with a short reproducible example if appropriate) so that we can add it to our stack. Cheers - @gvwilson
