Going to push the schedule at least a week (from end of sept).

Let's try for end of 1st week of oct for RC, and end of 2nd week for final.

for the release candidate:

  • I can do the doc building tomorrow if wanted (will probably first have to fix some issue when doing the full doc build)
  • is the access to the pydata server solved (in some way)? As that is needed for the release (0.15 docs, update main website, ..)
  • a full run of the vbench before release to check if there are perf regressions, has this already been done?

  • docs aren't necessary really, just going to put the doc-link to the dev docs anyhow. That said, should prep for the full doc-build prob next week.
  • pydata server will be solved this week (going to get you a login/password - individually because of security restrictions, will send it soon)
  • I did a vbench already, though of course you can if you'd like!

ok, for the release candidate not that important, but if it would be possible to already use the docs on the website, this would be better I think, as a lot of the links in the whatsnew are not working in the dev docs (api docs are not built there)

@jorisvandenbossche ok, I have access to the server again (I sent you an e-mail to provide public key to Troy and you can as well).

I am going to fix the pandas-website issues (e.g. make it match). But shouldn't impact you putting up docs.

@jorisvandenbossche

you should have access to pydata

pls upload the docs and put the link here (might as well put them in the 0.15.0 directly)

I'll update everything and send out the rc notice (after you post docs)

Boy updating the website is now a breeze!

(release isn't actually up, just your docs)

FYI, all issues are basically >= 0.16.0.

pull in issues to 0.15.1 as needed

looks reasonable to release this weekend sometime, pending @jorisvandenbossche building of the docs.

I should be able to build the docs and do a last check of them on Saturday

@jorisvandenbossche

ok ready for you. I have not tagged the release yet (figure that you might have a commit or 2 for doc fixups).

When you are ready and docs are uploaded, ping here. I will tag and release!

@jreback You can tag. After #8579, I can upload the final docs tomorrow morning (it has to be tagged to do the final build to get the correct version on the html files)
If I have to make further tweaks to the docs, I can always do it after it is tagged (without commiting before the doc build)

ok will do shortly (the tag triggers the windows build / release )

I control the pip upload though

@jreback any need to update https://github.com/MacPython/pandas-wheels? I've got push access to that repo, but I don't thing I got a key for the rackspace server they get uploaded to.

And do you know the process for updating the offical conda binaries? Do we just have @cpcloud walk over to a desk and tap someone on the shoulder? :)

I've got access to a windows machine now so I'm diving into the world of compiling extensions on windows to get my binstar channel up and running.

Ahh, nevermind about the pandas-wheels thing, they've already been uploaded to http://a365fff413fe338398b6-1c8a9b3114517dc5fe17b7c3f8c63a43.r19.cf2.rackcdn.com
(it's early here).
