Reproducible Example

>>> a = pd.Series(["abcdefg"], dtype=pd.ArrowDtype(pa.string()))
>>> a.str.find("d", -6, -3)
0    2
dtype: int64[pyarrow]
>>>

Issue Description

Expected result is 3.

Expected Behavior

"abcdefg".find("d", -6, -3)
3

Expected result is 3.
