Ideally we would like the container to be built from scratch to reduce attack surface. This would involve sorting out all the dependencies and statically compiling the binary properly.

We tackled this before but decided to use "k8s.gcr.io/debian-base-{arch}" as a stopgap: #15

/lifecycle frozen
we still could benefit from this. More investigation is required on how to get all the required mount/udev utilities required into the container
