Advice on how to start implementing the paper

Hi, Ross and community

I hope all is well with you. It is more or less general question. I want to start implementing some research from the papers myself. The goal is mostly to understand deeply the inner details and some nuances. I have in mind vanilla resnets and when go through some later improvements and to eff-nets. What would be some advices from you to the person, who is going to start?
