Describe the problem

I installed 2.1.0 (already had 1.8.3) and all my board URLs got deleted from preferences

it also shows all boards twice in menus

it offered to update things for me at startup, which I said yes to, and every single update failed because the directory already exists - of course - it's an UPDATE...

To reproduce

install 2.1.0 with 1.8.3 already set up

Expected behavior

migrate everything

Arduino IDE version

2.1.0

Operating system

Windows

Operating system version

11 pro

Additional context

Thanks for taking the time and reporting the issue.

new install wipes out all my board manager URLs

The Arduino IDE 2.x does not wipe your board manager URLs, but the 3rd party URL porting still needs to be supported. We have a task for this missing feature: #1524.

We prefer to track one open issue for the same problem/feature. If you have additional remarks, please add them to the existing ticket. I appreciate your understanding.
