The USB power config is currently a fixed value of 500mA. On most devices this has no effect, but on iPads all devices with a power value/consumption over 20mA will not work. So it would be good to have a way to change this value without modifying files from the Arduino Core.

  1. Open the Preferences of the Arduino IDE.
  2. Add the Build URL above in the Additional Boards Manager URLs field, and click OK.
  3. Open the Boards Manager (menu Tools->Board->Board Manager...)
  4. Install Arduino SAMD core - Pull Request No fixed value for USB power current #273
  5. Select one of the boards under SAMD Pull Request No fixed value for USB power current #273 in Tools->Board menu
  6. Compile/Upload as usual

I think it can be added also to the other cores. Should I make a PR there, too?
