That's weird. The behavior you originally described is the correct behavior when that option is enabled, and it's a client-side setting, so replacing PSES should have zero effect on it. |
This is a "me too" post. I about gave up on using VS-Code for Powershell because of this issue about a month ago after finding no solution. I updated VScode this morning and decided to see if it was still an issue. No change, still looping PID. A bit more searching got me to this thread.
This should be a hot button issue, as it was difficult to find a work around. |
